​House of Silvestri presents OANNES — The Geomystical Mandala, a significant Inneraeology mural by Tomasso Silvestri that engages one of the earliest recorded wisdom figures in human civilization and repositions that origin moment within a contemporary symbolic framework.

Drawing from the Mesopotamian account recorded by the historian Berossos, Oannes is understood as the teacher who emerged from the waters of the Tigris–Euphrates to transmit writing, science, law, and cosmological order to humanity. In Silvestri’s work, this figure becomes a structural axis through which the beginnings of organized knowledge are reconsidered as living cultural memory rather than distant mythology.

The composition unfolds through a precise circular geomystical architecture rendered in radiant gold pathways and layered symbolic inscriptions across a deep black ground. Concentric rings expand outward from a concentrated central matrix, forming a disciplined visual structure that suggests transmission, orientation, and continuity. Rather than illustrating narrative history, the work establishes a diagrammatic environment in which the emergence of civilization itself becomes the subject.

Silvestri constructs the surface through an intricate interplay of gold symbolic markings, anthropomorphic modeling, metallic pen inscriptions, pigment fusion layers, and carefully placed sculptural wax gems that introduce both dimensional presence and material warmth. These luminous wax elements—positioned prominently along the horizontal axis and echoed in smaller raised circular forms throughout the composition—create moments of balance and resonance within the geometric field, reinforcing the impression that the mandala operates as a calibrated symbolic structure rather than a purely pictorial image.
